This week on the show that's pushing awkward points, very well made, the boys talk hamburger power rankings, and Stefan busts out a tape measure to size up his enormous cranium. PLUS: Justin takes a date to the Canucks Summer Showdown... What could go wrong? Stefan breaks down the rooms of his parents' house in which he has and has not, uhh... self-examined himself. A fire alarm disrupts the show! And we regret to inform you that Nick Kyrgios is at it again.

Support the show at patreon.com/RealGoodShow, where $5 a month gets you access to all of our donor content. The Summer Blockbuster Spectacular gets back in full swing this month as our good friend JESSE FARRAR joins us to discuss his favourite movie of all time: Guillermo Del Toro's PACIFIC RIM! And next month we launch the Summer of Sheldon, as we oblige a commissioned request to watch the first six episodes of Young Sheldon. That's six Sheldon-centric bonus episodes, with a special guest for each. That's a lot to look forward to, so hop on the Patreon feed and don't miss a minute.

This week on the show that knows car and cat are only separated by one letter (isn't that neat?), Dalhousie Tigers forward and former WHL beauty JACKSON PLAYFAIR returns to the show for an in-studio hockey spectacular. John is over the moon with the Leafs signing John Tavares, while Stefan wallows in self-pity and Justin finds glimmers of hope in the Canucks' discouraging free agent crop. PLUS: Our Auston Insider reveals what the Leafs moves mean for Matthews, forecasts his dad's future in the game, and goes deep on the one feud that may have ended with Playfair jerseys in the firepit. We talked hockey with Jackson for 100 minutes and could have gone 300 more.

Support the show at patreon.com/RealGoodShow, where we put out two fine bonus eps last month to celebrate three years of RGS, including the First Annual RGS Canucks Summer Summit with JASON BOTCHFORD and an anniversary special mailbag with beloved guest CHRIS JAMES. It's a special Mailbag episode to celebrate three years of RGS, and Chris James is here to tell us about how he got permanently banned from Twitter. To celebrate 150 episodes, Stefan goes on an hour-long mission to gain enough weight to hit 150lbs.

In this clip, Chris has questions about weight-cutting in UFC, but the Coffee Boss is the wrong man to ask.

The Canucks decided to give Jim Benning three more years as GM, so we decided to revive the aggrieved hockey talk you once knew and loved from us. The Athletic's Justin Bourne joins to discuss why extending Jim Benning is like re-electing George W., the prospect-starved history of Vancouver, the spectre of meddling ownership, the enduring struggle of hockey culture against forward progress, and the role of toughness in today's NHL. It was a dang treat having him on. This is but a taste.
